Evan asked him out right after hitting him, restraining him and it was established he could lock Nolan up or get him in jail, so what other choice did Nolan have but accept? Then Evan raped him (he didn't want to and told him no multiple times). Why would he listen to him and risk getting killed by his boss? Both of them are awful and rapist, no matter what he chooses Nolan is screwed so he might as well go with the boss and delay his own death
