@Arroganz indeed, the leader of a pride is known for having a harem, it's also known for being the strongest of it's pride, they're powerful, tougher than they look(which is saying something), and it was the symbol of Herakles(Hercules) as he slew the Nemean Lion, known for it's impenetrable skin, with his bare hands, and used it's own claws to turn it into a cloak.
