In his point of view, he thought that HE was the one that would be birthing the baby and he couldn't bear the costs of having a baby in the first place. While Owen felt overwhelmed by Nux’s refusals it's unreasonable for him to just abandon Nux without telling him anything which led to Nux thinking that he was abandoned and their meeting was simply just a once time thing. How are you so ignorant on saying that Nux wouldn't have a “disgusting” child? He’s an earthling, and in their universe his view of the reproductive system would mean that HE'S the one getting pregnant. Nux doesn't want to have a baby so why are you mad about that?
