Hear me out, most drunk people show their true colors because their judgment is clouded and they feel more comfortable doing things they wouldn't if they're sober. The fact that Joo Jaekyung becomes a kinder, more normal person, could show that he's naturally like that and hes only a rigid (and let's be honest- horrible) person because he's under so much stress and he thinks he has to be strong to the point of being insufferable and rude (not to mention abusive). He probably thinks "well this has gotten me so far" And he lets it become his personality because, let's face it, it works for him. It's def his fault that he's such scum but..there's more to it.

@icryatnight I really like this comment 🥰 I agree there's much more to it, such as his generosity with charities and being kind and patient with some people, such as Dan's grandmother (spending hours talking with her, letting her hold his hand) and his fans (sacrificing his personal time on his birthday with the fan who wanted his photo at the restaurant, rather than eating his meal right away).
