@Sai No, lol no its not. You have several different type of authors. Standard kind are those who create a guideline, and make sure the plot follows that guideline as the story progress. Then you have those like Stephen King, who writes in the moment "he also hates those who create guidelines, calling them fake authors."
Than you have those who just yolo a story out, and hope it connects as the story progress.
