Comment on ChapterOne Piece - Chapter 1157

Imagine the feats that Rayleigh did to make this boss of a woman fall for him and dedicate the rest of her life to him. If the theories of Shakky getting kidnapped by the World Government being the catalyst for the Rocks Pirates invading G** Valley is true, we're so gonna see that incident really soon since we see the setup for Garp and Kaido "choosing" his fruit. The mission for Harald will be in the back burner for another few chapters and I think he'd try to go for it, succeed (that's how Rocks dies) and be betrayed by the World Government by the end.

Egghead having the most emotional flashback while Elbaf having the most lore-relevant one. Oda's going 2 for 2 in the final saga so far.

Also it's so funny that Whitebeard was asking to get lifted out and Shiki betrayed him only to tilt the entire island. If he wasn't getting out, nobody is lmfao. When they mentioned before that the Rocks pirates always tried to kill each other, I thought it only was for the no-name grunts stabbing each other. Not the main crew actually using their powers to try and off a main member or two.

@Nameless422 I mean.. you dont need feats... *points at Luffy* *points at Hancock*
@GuardTower I'm sorry but for Hancock to even consider hearing out Luffy, he had to do tons of things that she considered "feats" This reply would be a whole paragraph if I listed all of them down.
@GuardTower I mean Luffy proving over and over that he's a better person than any man Hancock had ever met is quite a feat.
@Nameless422 a proof that woman only care about men who don't give a sh** about them.. bro is literally the only guy on the verse who isn't simping for her
@Nameless422

you forgot that the main reason hancock suddenly liked luffy is because he ignored hancock and treated her normal instead of a horndog right? She didnt fall inlove because he saved her sisters from being exposed, she didnt fall in love because she released conqueror;s haki, She didnt fall inlove because he did heroic feats

He is not a horndog and interacted with Hancock just like how he handled other ladies.

@GuardTower

Wow you really doubled down on this. The main reason she started to fall in love was because he put others before himself, saved her and her sister's secret from the whole island nation, and is a willing enemy to the World Government. The seduction test was just her desperate attempt to find any fault in Luffy since her beauty and attractiveness was her main defense mechanism. Luffy beating that defense mechanism is what allowed her to admit to herself she likes him. Treating her as a normal person instead of "The most beautiful woman in the world", a Warlord, or a former Celestial Dragon's slave was the last act she needed to let herself fall in love.

Read the media you're consuming properly and do not take everything in face value especially in One Piece. She likes Luffy DESPITE ignoring her, not because he's ignoring her. Her falling in love, however goofy bordering creepy it is, meant a lot as a statement due to her trauma and her current outlook in life. It's not just because some surface-level reason as "women only care about men who don't give a sh** about them" you and the other person think it is.

You almost got it right with these sentences. "She didnt fall inlove because he did heroic feats. He is not a horndog and interacted with Hancock just like how he handled other ladies." I'm just confused as to why you thought the MAIN reason of her liking Luffy was that shallow for a character as complex as Boa Hancock.
