She's being influenced by her naming and the continuing influence of her "Pride" skill. It doesn't exist anymore but it still affected her soul and changed it. Essentially, it's like giving tons of pure sugar to a tribe in Africa who has never seen refined sugar before. It's immedately addicitive.
The MC even at this stage has already figured most of it out. She spends the rest of her time in the story fighting against D's influence so you don't need to worry about the story taking a "strange" direction.
