@Hope He's traumatised and has the delusion that everything could go back to normal if he so tried hard enough to satisfy them. He still loves Haeyoung and cant let go of his feelings for him. He did try running away once but he got caught and got locked up for a period of time in the earlier chapters. Hes going insane. He cant kill his "friends" because he still loves them all and thats the only reason thats really holding him back ig. Its a psychological thing so we cant rlly blame him 😞 i wish he could just kill them as well </3
