Can someone actually explain the whole deal with alpha beta and omegas? I don't get it

@Fartnroses its like alphas are the superior and they go through rut cycle which is so hard to go through, they also can release and smell pheromones.
And then betas they are almost nothing and can't smell or release pheromones and have nothing to do with cycles either rut or heat !!
And then our beloved omegas they are cute and go through heat cycle and can smell and release pheromones and their pheromones can go any alpha mad !!
