Man, all the manhwas always show China, Japan and other countries as 'evil', 'ruthless' and whatnot when South Korea itself isn't that innocent.
Of course, the books/ manhwa wouldn't even publish if they wrote things like that. They'll probably have the writer go to jail or keep him/her in check.
@oopsie FR. Like they are spreading this really weird fake propaganda that those countries are bad and what not. Can't they actually make the bad countries bad for once?
@Fermi haha, you should read 1984, where they replaces the names. Adding on, I think manhwas should make up fictional countries to serve as allegories, that way it'd be even more revealing.
@Fermi The three nations are NOT friends, by a whole lot, so the various story put bug shadows over the two natuons that are not the one where the story take place.
China do it leass for a simple reason, manhuas are mostrly set STRCTLY in china, cause China is a dictatirship so most things that happen abroad are difficult to fscuss, with this setting is normal to simply not talk about other nations or to use fake names in case of doing it, for the main part is more a "our grand bation is the best above any other"... yeah, sure.
And for Japan... well, search "why korea hate japan" and see yourself.
And i'm saying this knowing it, i am Italian, we had fanother dictatorship here, fascism, we made the axis with Germany and Japan and done our big sh^t in those times and people that are proud of that are still here, some are in the our current government and more are taking wind, it's really an horrible situation.
@Fermi I get what you mean but at the same time those three been beefing with each other for generations also as far as I know china is the only place that I’m aware of that arrests authors if they write things that is not approved by the government
