It's so annoying if you get to like/love someone just because he/she was your something in the past. Past is past, of course be grateful and thankful for it but Move the F on. Like it just doesn't get to your heart when a character loves someone for connection with the past or just any thing and not because it's him/her. Like you're not loving him/her but the past you have of him/her.
