 that's how most regression stories work? Are you new to the regression genre? The whole point is going back in time to get a second (or third or forth and so on) chance to redo a past decision or fix a mistake. The art work is also really good? It's not the typical fantasy art type maybe but I've seen far worse art on highly rated stories so... if it isn't your cup of tea then leave it alone, don't take a cr** on it just cuz it wasn't made for you. There isn't an actual problem with the story so stop complaining.
