A peculiar case occurred in the Empire. (The one which was mentioned in this chapter) It's about children being transformed into sculptures of weeping angels or something and only two children were survivors who were barely alive with all the pain. This was commissioned by the Eva Cult and temple. So thanks to Jayner those kids were saved and the temple took them so they would treat them but they didn't do anything. So Camilla with Arcian and Jayner visited Priest Daniel because the red necklace she received was broken (this red jewelry was becoming a trend in the empire which is sold by the temple and actually this red jewel steals the soul of the person wearing it). Actually any jewelry made by that red gemstone Camilla touched was broken into pieces. And then she heard the ghost of the Saintess (Arena, she was the last Saintess of the Fabler Empire) cursing out the priests for doing nothing for those kids, so Camilla asks Daniel that she wants to see the kids. And when she was them she was heartbroken because those kids were unable to sleep peacefully and were crying constantly. So Camilla asks Arena to enter her to heal those kids and she cured them with the Divine power and all the priests were so shocked that they knelt after witnessing such powerful divine power. The very next second, Camilla fainted because of the fever and then Arcian caught her swiftly (and he was injured because of the strong divine power Camilla was emitting, since he is a black mage the divine power harms him but not healing magic) and teleported her to her house leaving Jayner all alone 😂 After one whole week Camilla regained consciousness but she felt occasional soft touches of someone (It was Arcian 🤭) and was shocked to see Arcian in her room.
✕Arcian told her eat something because for a whole week she hasn't eaten properly and proceeds to feed her with his hands and Camilla's brothers and Duke Sorfel didn’t object because it was thanks to Arcian's care that Camilla had recovered. Even though his hand was injured with divine power when saving Camilla he brought her home and made sure to cast magic constantly whenever she felt too hot or too cold 😭😭 And before I forget Arcian addressed Duke Sorfel as "Father" after Camilla woke up 😂 and not to mention when Camilla went to see Duke Sephra (about the souls wandering around Emperor) he tells her not to address him as "His Grace" but she should call him "Father" 🤣🤣
