i find that the mc's comment was rude just because she thought that the nobility rules were unnecessary doesn't mean that she should pick a fight with the maid but the maid was also out of line but so was the mc she should have just left the princess to do her thing and it was so that the princess wouldn't get mocked and would get into the habit of doing it

@ezzie I think the translation is at fault. She was probably saying that she didn't have to keep up her manners since the princess is only having tea with mc lol.
