Let me put it simply this way.
Take Isagi out of the picture. Could the other teammates can match Rin’s play? Would they believe that Rin can stop Sae, and foresee what’s gonna happen next? That even Ego said it himself, he did not see it coming.

Isagi’s play was crucial to blue lock’s victory. He ate and devoured.

@Reyian_kun fyi I am not hating, I love isagi I have over 1000 vids favorited because I love blue lock sm and I know isagi, he's literally the main character, but when rin was supposed to score a goal isagi scored a goal instead and I do not like soccer, so I have no clue about any of this, but the creator said that he doesn't even intend to make this manga/anime like real life soccer, and I know isagi played an important part in the match. The only reason isagi can match rins play is because their bound to dominate one another, and the thing that's annoying me most is that isagi didn't score at all until the end the only thing he did was think and I remember that hiori I think or sm1 else told him to think on Instinct but from what I saw isagi didn't do that. And either way this is MY opinion, MY perspective, this is how I saw the match and I love Isagi

@Kirabella  I get your point actually. But everything will be clear for him in the next chapters as this battle was only the foreshadow of what he's really capable of. All of it was only the stepping stone to his meta vision. If this ddnt happen at all. He wouldn't be that powerful in the next chaps

i already finished reading the manga rn I'm rereading and this kind of helped him evolve in some way yet also no wait till you read it

@yoruichi man shut up if you don't have a good point here, invited? You mean invented. And ofc isagi invented his own luck, he didn't just wait for opportunities, he made them happen. He reads the game but during this arc, Isagi was overthinking instead of taking action. While his predictions were on point, he couldn’t do it himself, so it felt like he wasn’t really contributing. It showed he still had a gap between reading the game and actually impacting it
