It's quite weird though how his father died while sitting in his throne, it's like he didn't  resist or fight the enemy and let them kill him. He's strong enough to fight but he's in his chair with 3 swords on his body. 

If the villain is a proud murderer he would separate the head to the body of the cult's leader. Well, whatever.

@JUST IGNORE ME. Not to mention, if there really was fighting, how strong is that gahdam chair to be still standing in the same room they fought in?

@Steven Powell nah, it's only because of betrayal. Those swords indicates that there are more than three traitors within their cult. And for some unknown reason, MC's father didn't resist when he's technically the strongest within the cult.
