To him, a nobody who had to lose everything in order to rise up in ranks she was just another flashy noble. Her father was someone he considered a tyrant, so to him, why would the tyrants daughter be any different? His love for her was inevitable, he tried his hardest to find faults in her and when he couldnt, he simply came to terms with his feelings.
