The witch wanted to know how it's feels to be Loved throught the (empress Wish) so she restrained herself in magic and more so that she could be Close to a child without beeing able to hurt the emporer (thats why her Magic failed in him again and again).
I think that in the time as a witch she granted Wish for Wish almost without much of Changes for a Long Time so with her current "her" might Go throught Family, Feelings and more for the First time with her restrains in herself so her aktually age of Soul is Not really a Matter in this Story or in this Moment.
