I have a feeling that in the past life she didnt believe anything bad would come from the ppl close to her even if she was told . Thats why  he is letting her experiencing it all herself so she can see with her own eyes. Cause that trust she has in ppl's good nature was the reason that lead her to death. Its just a feeling i am not defending him. If it's not, then he is one Black flag for manipulating her like that just so can only trust himaynd always be under his control and listen to no one but him. I hope he is doing it with good intentions not just for the sake of taking full control over her because of his obsession
