So just a theory, but what if Grandfell is actually a demon who thought he was human or if he is half-demon ... it would be a possible route of self-hatred yet pride towards why he is driven to hunt demons himself.

@plotter yeah, he might be the one that killed his whole family. Maybe they founs out his a demon pretending to be thier son then he keeps pretending til now

@plotter Although unlikely it could be that, his family (most likely father) made him a demon, or erased his memory of him being demon.
