@Monopoly_ply Oh no, we have no trouble with girl MCs when they are interesting, we have trouble with them when they are "absolutely perfect in every way" and are unable to commit any mistake, I mean, only one woman should be allowed to be absolutely perfect in every way and that's the kind Mary Poppins, and everyone commits mistakes, not being able to recognize your own faults it's different from being unable to commit any mistake and having no flaws and that's what separates characters that can improve and be interesting from characters that are boring and stop people from reading.
@Monopoly_ply girl mcs suffer from the same issues as guy mcs, if the MC is boring I won't like it no matter the gender, and if the MC isn't a one sided wooden plank in writing then I'll like em regardless of gender
@Monopoly_ply well to be honest I find this one online personally. Believe it or not writers who make female protag with super strong stats in fantasy world make great things
