In the 1st timeline, she entrusted baby Astier to Tessetan to protect the baby from the dangers in the palace. She's also the Chairman of Association for Mercenaries. Because of the consistent poisoning attempts, her body became immune to posions, antidotes and even medicine. Her body rejects everything. So when she learned she's pregnant, she thought the child has a little chance to survive. Both of Astier and Ardiana survived during childbirth but Ardiana decided to entrust Astier to Tessetan because if the baby stays in the palace, Fides (her half brother) will surely torment her. She hoped that he baby would not suffer the same fate she had. Especially how she know she attracts a lot of misfortunes. After returning from leaving the baby in Tessetan's care, she cried a lot. She thought and prayed that the baby hopefully lives long, stays safe, healthy and warm even if they never meet or even see each other. But news that arrived her only proved that she attracts misfortune as it was said that Trevaga's base was attacked and they are wiped out, including Tessetan.
