Made an acct just to say this: To the people shit**** on JJK- I get it. He's been an ass**** for a while. But, did you even read the chapter? Better yet, why continue reading if you're not even going to acknowledge his development and just sh** on him the moment he has an off moment.
Bro just got outed about a lot of bs he CLEARLY stated he never wanted public and by someone who 1) left him in the dust and 2) is just trying to get under his skin because he wants money and to be better than him. Trauma also does a lot to you and when you start thinking of it, you want to avoid any situation that could even remotely get close to it at all costs. To add onto that, he just saw someone he really doesn't want to let go because he loves him (but is a little too stubborn to focus/recognize it) have his stuff packed and ready to move for right after his match. That's a fu** ton of stress.
I'm not trying to give him an out for acting like that to Dan after all of that development since it was uncalled for. But, to everyone saying "never trust a man who says they've changed" or sh** like that, did you not see that HE was the one that got up first? Before his development, he would've just guilted Dan into leaving. Now, he realizes when he's out of line, feels like a complete dick**** because he KNOWS it was out of line, and separates himself from the situation before he accidentally hurts Dan further. If that's not development still, then idk what is. It's just really annoying seeing people cheering about how Dan should finally leave him after this incident when it would've been 10x worse before JJK's chase arc. And clearly communication is nowhere in sight because this is a manhwa and it takes like, 20 chapters to finally get some understandings between mc and ml 💀
@Idk42O it's always smth or the other one time it's his trauma or him losing to beak jumin or being stressed abt matches but when will he grow up genuinely, he's 27 yea everyone has trauma everyone has problems Dan also does his grandma is dying but that doesn't make ppl lash out at others, no one in the gym lashes out like jk, he can choose to change bcz he rich but he chooses not to, he constantly removes all his anger on Dan, honestly Dan is too g** for him.
The difference is he's at least acknowledging it now. And we don't know what the next chapter has- he might end up apologizing for all we know. But, he quite literally is changing. You can't expect anyone to change their way of behavior or reactions to certain things overnight. It's a process. Especially when it's how you were raised or shown how to go about life. He had the right footing with mentally getting on-track, but everything went downhill so quickly, people are relying on him more than ever, his career and health is quite literally on the line with this match, and the one person he started feeling comfortable with is leaving. With that stress piling on, lashing out is unfortunately a realistic outcome. That's called being human. We all experience anger and stress. If we don't have healthy techniques to relieve it, there will be unhealthy outcomes and accidents
It's not necessarily "right", but faulting him for something like this when he did remove himself from the situation knowingly is ignorant to his entire character development. If he truly meant what he said to Dan, he wouldn't have done that at all.
@Stfu u do realized that even at the age of 27 is still consider a trauma no matter what. and he was already pis*** of at what happened during the interviewed and its the fact how he spent years of trying to hide those secrets and yet it just got brought up outta nowhere. Ofc hes gonna be mad tf out and kim dan should have some consideration on the fact how instead of letting the box laying there at least put it away from where else. or considerin the fact of telling jjk before he had left to go training
@kyo wowwww the victim blaming is insane, u guys genuinely insufferable so everyone around jk should walk on eggshells and be considerate but he shouldn't even change a bit? No one is saying he should be allowed to be mad, his feelings are 100% valid but that doesn't hive him a pass to be mean or use violence or be hurt someone else, yea he has trauma but there are mutiple ways to cope or heal from it, u can't use ur trauma as an excuse all the da** tim
@Idk42O acknowledgment should come with change, he was nice for a while but at the end came back to his old habits, and don't give me the same "it takes time" bcz enough time has passed he's had enough time to heal from his wounds, an also he should know that being a fighter comes w this kind of stress so he should've went to therapy to deal w this stress how long will he drag his trauma and stress as an excuse to keep being an ass****? And what abt Dan? How long should he keep being understanding? It was diff before but know he realizes stuff but still does the same thing, Dan should leave hi
I'm not saying Dan should find how he's feeling and his crash out understandable. He should be upset and demand for some communication or apology from JJK. But, you're not registering the fact that he's just stubborn to a fault. Is that a reason for him to be an ass****? Absolutely not! But, he's at an age where he has to retrain himself. Teaching an old dog new tricks is not as simple as it should be, let alone having to rewrite how your emotional processing. It quite literally DOES take time. There's no other work around with that. Man practically used his career and s** to take out his frustrations which is extremely unhealthy of course. Yet, he was able to at least start working on what he's doing wrong once he lost the person he held close without realizing. If you can't recognize that realistically, since that seems to be the creator's approach, it takes time to readjust and become accustomed to certain practices, then maybe this isn't the manhwa for you.
Also, whether he'll consider therapy- we don't know ofc. I definitely think he should go to therapy, but he's too focused on just trying to win atp like he always has been... He's using unhealthy practices to get to his goal. And like I keep saying because it's VERY clear- what he did at the end is not even close to him going back to his old ways. Him getting up on his own to not hurt Dan further in itself is progress. This was also just one time after doing nothing for like, 40 chapters and it was less severe than it ever was before (which I hate to say because it shouldn't be worse than this). If he did this during another chapter out of nowhere before chasing after Dan, then I'd see your point. But, you're only seeing it from the surface and negating everything he did to better their relationship.
What he did is just being a HUMAN. Humans make mistakes even after seemingly getting better. Some don't even try to fix the situation (and he was like that even before), but JJK at least isolated himself this time. You're entitled to your beliefs/opinions, but if you can't even understand any of this with rationalization in mind, then there's nothing else to discuss because you clearly seem to lack any form of media literacy.
