Mc and ml became very close in their own universe and it's implied that they started to have feelings for each other.
They're shipping him with the the girl because she was close to him and well, died. He acted the same way with his uncle too and nobody's shipping them? It's just annoying when straight, homophobic (yes, you can still be homophobic if you read boyslove) invade q*r people's space then say something like that. They don't know how it feels to have people assume you're bi or pan, it's erasure. People did this with Olga in CnA too, which she already has a partner and if you'd read the novel you'd know both Taekjoo and Zhenya is gay.
