@JECU @Yarichinbic If the manga follows the story of the novel, the nine tails and the ox went to a desert region. When they are training in the desert, they were attacked by a lot of very troublesome monsters. But then a monster which looks like a jackle / Anubis help them defeat those monsters. Anubis wants to ask the mc for his branch (mc branch has a lot of uses). The mc gave Anubis his branch as thanks for helping nine tails and ox. The Anubis monster is probably the third strongest of the land monsters and has the title of "Desert G**". By the way, the second strongest land monster is Black Phoenix. The strongest land monster is the mc himself.
