@Omomg I wasrllyhopin chapter 18, there's more scenes showing the clothing full on and from what it looks, I don't think I see a middle line, just a bunch of awkwardly placed folds.
I also remember wearing skorts as a kid, so pockets aren't outside the norm with school skirts but they could've changed along the way
