In Omegaverse, there's this phenomenon where baby recognizes their parents pheromones and thus will react on it. They also need their parent's pheromones for their growth. Baby can sense on their parents pheromones, if the baby sense that you were not good to your other parents (or to the mom)they'll reject you (Source: from the novel I have read)
