Yes, Seong-rik’s trauma is heavy, but that doesn’t cancel out what Jin-hyeong went through. Just because it wasn’t physical doesn’t mean it didn’t leave damage. Emotional abuse, constant pressure, never feeling good enough? That’s real, and it hurts just as deeply.

I do have to say that this is one of the most realistic portrayals I’ve seen of how an inferiority complex can rot someone from the inside out and make them selfish and blind to what they’re actually doing.
