@Martha Elena Brenes Orozco the mother somehow seems especially sexist for some reason. I mean are they actually related? While this does seem interesting, it also seems like a forced setting.
@Jacob The mother is the only one that makes even the tiniest shred of sense given limited context. His dad is clearly not in this picture, and they called him a "half-breed". A mother turning abusive after a bad divorce isn't a good thing, but it's at least plausible. There are many unfortunate people out there who grew up with a resentful parent (or are currently doing so).
His sisters have no such reason to hate him. They call him "useless", but there's no clear examples of him harming them or causing trouble with their careers. Unless his "support" made them worse off in some way the story clarifies, it makes no narrative sense for them to be that hostile and that definitely comes off as forced. At most, they should be indifferent. Even that is cold.
@Jacob One of the girls said he is her twin that means they are indeed blood related. The nonsense about him being halfbreed is ridiculous because that would clearly make his twin sister a halfbreed as well.
