@Jellyjelly no that's the case with girl besties mostly I have seen many guy besties who don't always share everything with each other... 
One incident was my friend kissed a guy and later we got to know that the guy's(the one my friend kissed) best friend liked my friend but that best friend never knew what happened between these two but the whole girl group knows about that...
