Can someone explain the meaning of his image of things in the plate? The last panel one? I understand he never saw foods as a foods, but there must be something psychological about it?

@Lonlie Ghost maybe it's because he can't taste anymore that he views the food like objects since you know, objects really don't taste like anything. But i really don't know myself the deeper meaning for it :(
@Lonlie Ghost There may not be a deeper meaning to it except he can't taste food so even if he ate anything that will taste bad to us, he won't be able to notice it. And plastic objects like legos/building blocks are also generally notorious for being a problem to any living being that eats. (e.g. babies and kids accidentally eating their plastic toys, marine animals like turtles eating plastic because they thought it was a jellyfish, etc.)
I noticed there were also medicine capsules, which proves my point abt him eating anything and its taste not having any distinction from one another.
