@Lady_In_Purple I suspect the ghost is one who may have been in love with the king as a human( as crown prince ). And thought she would be queen once he ascended the throne . But that didn't happen , so now her jealousy turned her into an evil spirit . Or maybe someone far sinister, or maybe ghost used to be a palace witch /wizard /seer that developed stalker obsession
