I would be happy with just him getting a bit more upset. Not to hate them necessarily, I can understand the connection, but it doesn't compensate. Hurt them as well to the equivalent they have hurt you, and when they are on their knees then proceed to explain and let them go with a few broken bones maybe. Also telling them about the caller, I'd rather keep them in the unknown. LOL They'd get fuc*** by karma eventually anyways. And his friends... boy his friends were nuts! I just hate it when the protagonists choose to be way too good for their own good. It gets my gears grinding.
