@RecklessSavage personally I agree with rebel against harem's theory. It's really just makes sense with his character. I mean, in the newest chapter

It was revealed he actually saved those stringly fairies's world, and he called them friends. He's very chill but also incredibly smart. He realizes it posed a threat to ain but didn't notice his teacher tried to kill him.
