Because the Ian who panicked and rushed to the hospital when TJ got into an accident, promising to destroy all his enemies, the Ian who walked into Big Teddy's lair ready to die for TJ, the Ian who literally threw himself into gunfire to shield TJ with his own body, is definitely plotting his murder. The mental gymnastics here deserve an Olympic medal.

Everyone in this story has flaws. Jo literally sexually assaulted an unconscious person, choked him, manipulated him, and did everything in his power to possess someone who was never his. He's not some innocent little lamb who got played by Ian.
