I really expected more from the illustration :( This scene in the book is so much more overwhelming, like Riftan is going mad, completely losing his grip, a snap of all sanity. Also, the knights, Ruth, they are all-in after seeing Maxi and understanding what happened. Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate the artist, but, you know, this is the climax of the story.

@troublemaker i feel the same, i was expecting a more enraged emotions or even longer scene. tho i got teary eyed when maxi started crying
