I saw some didums on tiktok arguing who is the better char, Subaru or Encrid and honestly... That's just stupid, both series are good. Watch what you like or just watch both and enjoy them at the same time.
@F_00L And realistically, they're both absolute insane by now just in different ways. They're different people to begin with, in different situations, but repeated death and life has driven them both mad in a way unique to each character regardless of powerscaling. In fact that's what we should be powerscaling, their respectively mental illnesses.
but to be honest Subaru did try living a full life with ram or rem ? The blue one (I didn't follow the new series if she ever wake up from eternal sleep anyway) But goes back to starting point kinda regression if he thinks about it a little he could've just do it for oh I dunno a few human life cycle to master some skill like bow swordsmanship martial art magic too ? That is if he hasn't come into contact with Emilia like how convenient and coincidence to enter main quest before doing some side quest and oh I dunno wonder why he kept regressing even though he live a full life (if he hasn't met with Emilia) like for real
@Howling wolf Honestly, the biggest difference in them is the starting point between their mental states. This is Encrids world, this is his world and he doesn't know anything else, but he doesn't care because he has aann incredibly single minded focus on getting stronger, aand he would continue trainig even without being at war until his wall became death by old age. The way they utilize their curse is fundamentally different, because they're fundamentally different and honestly I struggle to think Encrid would ever break before Subaru, or that Subaru would be broken forever. Immovable object vs Unstoppable force style.
