@L26 i think you need to read the entire story and read very carefully. His personality is the result of his adaptation to his upbringing and the environment where he worked and lived in. With all the stories that I've read, his issues are more emotionally and mentally tiresome that it can affect his judgement of his own life. You can hate him but not on this chapter. We already got over the problem with his attitude from the previous chapters.
