They r missing according to the news so it's not sure whether the dad is dead or not.. so ya maybe he is dead maybe he is not
maybe jianyi's dad asked them to protect his son before he died as his final wish 
I think it's his grandpa from the dad's side
@ryeorin I thought he still alive.. maybe hiding somewhere
