As painful as it is, she's right. Her actions are wrong but yeah izek and ruby's child would be pushed to become to crown prince/princess even though the emperor has a child with the empress. She's a slave and movies are racist, classist and sexist. They would never recognize the little girl as a future empress.
ceaser gave her false hope that if she brings Ruby to her then both her and her child are safe. Parents will go far lengths for their children. I can't fault her for that.
@ClaudesleftballsackI agree entirely, though I also think the Emperor doesn't hav emuch of a choice since male heirs are needed for the throne in most cases (which sucks) or maybe it's because he might want his daughter to live differently from her parents and/or protect her. (Btw this is ust addons / theories I don't mean to dis you or anythinggggggggg)
@_Clown_ it was also established in the manhwa whenever there's a party or event, the empress is majorly absent or not seen as much. The kingdom doesn't like her and so for her to not be subjected to their racism and classism, she doesn't attend. It's really shi***.
