Let me say I'm not knocking the manga when I say this, but that money conversion is plain dumb. 1000 will buy you a single loaf of bread??? Barely any midevil peasants would know the math involved in the thousands nor does it make sense for anyone to carry that many coins. Also iron is worth less than copper? Iron is a much more difficult metal to work than copper, copper can be smelt in a fire, iron needs a whole set up. Im assuming this is just the ignorance of the author so I dont really care just venting, but yen, won, and pennies aren't worth so little just because. At one point they were the standard where 1 of them could buy you something and only after years and years of inflation have they become so worthless

@Aro well is true copper is worth more irl as well the difficulty of how its worked with doesnt matter think of gold its probably the easiest to work with but still worth the most. and the conversion culd be the bread is a dollar instead of ten dollars (using irl money) i only say that cause a thousand pieces could be like the equivalent amount of pennies. Its dumb but it makes enough sense that my dumb as got it just from the explination
