@Youknowwhatineed due to some technical problems and it's a popular illegal site for people to read without paying anything so legal sites were trying to shut it down
@esryzc I just saw someone on tiktok posted he/she snitch by telling lezhin about bato. I don't now if that was an edit or real I just reported the account
@esryzc you're sooo right queen these new people are ruining amazing platforms that are available for free. I have been reading for 8-9 years and this Issue was seen around 2021 when Other platforms were being taken down. It's so sad and makes me want to gatekeep things which I hate cuz I want people to have this experience.
@Youknowwhatineed kakao tracked down the developer of bato (name/county they live at/etc) and started taking heavy legal actions against them. they sent cease and desists to the bato reddit/discord groups too.
kakao has also taken down many sites and they will take this one too if ppl cintinue to not stfu and gatekeep.
