Honestly I don't want etty with rishar. Prince have suffered so much from his so called parents. Mentally n physically to point of death. Father wants him to die so there won't be any competition to thrown n mother doesn't care he lives or die as long as she achieve her goal. Suffering all that still maintaining sanity, he has to endulge Rishar selfish behavior where he doesn't even consider what he is putting prince through his action. Even if he doesn't wants to be emperor, nobles are seeing him one as emperor showing through his action. Shouldn't he atleast put some distance and approach matter more tactically. If he says what his actions putting prince through, he shouldn't behave that way. Hats off to etty to be consider Rishar as his partner. We can't even imagine what he going through
@AnjingXia You're absolutely right. No matter how much the story tries to paint Rishar as the only person who cares about Ettienne, if he really cared about him, he should be focusing on deflecting the parents and supporting Etienne politically. That way, Rishar could protect him and help him avoid more abuse and neglect. The only time Rishar has ever done this was with that one convo with the Emperor, and that was the only instance when his character was not dull to me. But no! Rishar, being unable to control himself. puts Ettienne in even more trouble with his parents by repeatedly visiting him and forcing him into certain situations. That's inconsiderate and makes Rishar out to look obsessive and impulsive, rather than caring. But since this is yaoi, I guess we're just supposed to ignore that and find it romantic, huh?
