While I do agree with y'all that it is rather heartbreaking that after Karel took the blame for such a huge crime for sasya and he just leaves without even a word
I do also agree that Sasya is allowed to live his own life whatever he wants to do and though its rather heartbreaking and I enjoy couples ending up together if Karel truly loves Sasya he will understand and let him go no matter how painful it is because though as cringe as it sounds true love isn't your own happiness in the relationship but its both your happiness

@Kiitt But sasya should have atleast talk to Karel. Communication was all they need because as you said Karel would have understood

@Starry Night yeah that's true but think about it how would you even talk to your lover after they took the fault of such a big crime for you and went to war well Im not saying Sasya's action is justified believe me I am quite sad as well I do believe that he may or may not have had a hard time communicating with him especially since it's quite common for people to change after war so maybe he didn't know if Karel would still be the sam
