@Emi what do you mean, that man is currently not a father, he is a general and it just so happens to be that one of his soldiers is his kid. he is doing the right thing in protecting the masses over a singular induvidual. It also is a sign of trsut as it shows that the father has comlete trust in cyans ability to fend and care for himself. L take

It doesn't change the fact that he failed as a father.  He endangered the live of his own kid with that decision  and didn't even  attempt  to  rescue  him.

@Samael he isn't a father in that situation, the camp was about to be overrun by monsters. it was either the kid or everyone else (including the emperor and princess)

@FlawlessHjg that is true,  but at this point in time he failed as a father,  since he endangered  the life of his own son which should be the most important thing for a good father (like the king who ignored  everything  else  to save his daughter) and actively  chose to fail as a father to be a General
