@1stDivergent  The author's probably also thinking that after 15+ years of regressor stories, most readers are probably going to be familiar with the "climb back to power", "recruit people who will be strong," "make the strong stronger," and "get revenge for grudges in the first timeline" tropes. So while this story might be a bit dizzying for people new to the genre, for most other people it'll be "check, check, and check, bases touched" while the author gets on to the meat of the story
