@Yozizi ok so the start of these clans and sects was done by a chinese writer who wrote a book about murim and mentioned these sects and clans that symbolized the real medieval china's territory owners/leaders/kings, i hope this was helpful.

@Yozizi This story takes place in the same universe as Fist Demon of Mount Hua and Martial Artist Lee Gwak. Both are great (esp Martial Artist Lee Gwak), but both webtoon versions were axed before completion. I'm not sure which Mount Hua story you're referring to, but yes, it is a continuation of Lee Gwak (he's even mentioned in this chapter).
