tbf, she has always been living with them.
It's like telling someone who always had a pet dog, "yeah if I ever had to touch a dog i'd faint"
ofcourse this is fictional and quite different, but her not being scared makes sense
@Jazzyhands7 best fictional example would be Creepie from Growing up Creepie, she was adopted by a huge family of insects when she was a baby, she naturally doesn't have the same perception of them as we do, for most of us, they're disgusting and make us uncomfortable/scared, for her they're people and she values their lives
