@Kigs In the novel they went into more detail of the play they watched like how the story sounds like it was their love story being told. When they heard that the people from the theater are choosing a couple from the audience to replay the final scene of proposing to each other they actually tried to run away as well but still got caught. Noa and Muen were also crying when they saw Leon propose to Rossweiss even if it's just a play.
