@Bluerose_ I member the previous duke being such a cutie about it and saying he's him and his mothers son no matter what. It's highly possible he is actually the dukes son and the rumors came about because the duke was away for a period

@Bluerose_ true. He's obviously the Duke's son, ml looks like him. Maybe the reason they say he's the emperor's son because the previous Duchess's pregnancy was discovered some time after she was graped. She was definitely already pregnant when the emperor forcefully took her to the imperial palace. The timeline fits as well because i think the emperor took her as soon as the duke went away to the border
